Azim
There was the scent of dirt and something that Azim assumed was death coming from Victor, but Azim chose to ignore it. He clung to his mateâs hand as they exited the SUV and headed to the lower level where the pool was. Markov made no comment as he walked off in the direction of the main part of the building.
When Victor accessed the pool room, the salty, warm air brought with it lovely memories from Azimâs childhood. Those were what he clung to rather than thinking about the poor dead vampire that could have been⦠no, stop that thinking.
Victor had been right to not let him see what heâd found. The devastation that came from Victor, oh, heâd masked it, but some of the intensity of the emotion had seeped through. That alone was enough to keep Azim in the car and listening to Victorâs reasoning.
His mate started to strip the second the door closed behind them. He wiped his dirty hands and arms on his discarded clothing, throwing it on the floor rather than the sofa.
Naked and looking glorious, Azimâs body reacted to the sight of his mate. The longer his gaze lingered on Victor, his desire scented the air, and that it affected Victor was more than obvious. His cock thickened and bobbed as he walked to the edge of the pool and sat down, his feet dangling in the water.
He glanced sideways at Azim, his lips forming into a soft smile of invitation. âYou going to come in with me? My kraken would like some cuddles right now.â
Conscious of the conversation theyâd had about sex, Azim hesitated. His need for more had grown with the reality he could have been the one buried in the back garden. He wanted to celebrate that he was alive, was here with his mate. However, there was a part of him that grieved for the vampire who hadnât been so lucky. It was a bit of a mind fuck, truth be told.
Victorâs brows arched, and his head tilted to the side. âItâs hard, the feeling selfish when someone has lost their life, and you want to grab on to what you have and rejoice in it.â
Azim released the pent-up breath and sagged in relief that Victor got his inner turmoil. He walked over to Victor and ran a gentle hand over his short-cropped, silky hair. âIt is.â
Victor reached up and placed his warm hand over Azimâs, his eyes glowing with strong emotions. They left Azim in no doubt about Victorâs feelings for him. âStrip, my Sea Angel, we need you.â
The command sent shivers down Azimâs spine, and he sensed all of Victorâs needs and intention. Azim stepped back and Victorâs hand dropped to his lap. Another shiver ran through Azim when Victor stroked his cock deliberately. A bead of pre-cum pearled on the slit, and Azim licked his now dry lips wanting to taste his mate.
The desire that crackled through the air left Azim breathless and aroused to the point he wasnât sure his hands would work.
