After a couple of weeks she got the answer that I probably wasn´t in such a bad shape, and they put her referral aside. She got mad, wrote a new referral in which she demanded that the University Hospital in Uppsala would examine me. Nothing help, the University Hospital did not want to deal with this and she didn´t have a chance. The doctors had read my medical records, but they hadn´t examined me so it was a dead end.

In March 2005, I was in such a bad shape that I spent most of my time inside, sitting in my wheelchair, listening to audio books since I didn´t have the energy to do anything else. As soon as I got up to walk around, I got exhausted, my stomach swelled up and I had trouble breathing. Every time it felt like I was about to drown in all the fluid that gathered in my lungs. I even got tired in the arms from holding a book for a longer period of time, so audio books were the only solution for me.
