It’s suddenly getting colder, and doing it earlier this year!! Last night, the temperature actually dropped below 60! (Since it was election night, and so many of the candidates were giving each other the cold shoulder). Actually, we have had company this past week – Karen’s folks are visiting from Maryland, and we’ve decided they were responsible for bringing all of the cold with them!

They were hoping to see a Space Shuttle launch this morning, but, as things go, they postponed the launch ‘till tomorrow. They also missed their opportunity to vote, but Florida voters are much more patriotic than Marylanders, and now, I think they wish they’d gotten absentee ballots! Around here, we had about a 90% turnout at the polls, which says something good!! Since there is so much government defense related business here, you can guess which (Reagan) presidential candidate took the place by a landslide! It was strange that Mondale took D.C.!
