Chapter - 13

The next day morning mother woke him up without showering any love and affection unlike other days. After waking him up, she heads towards kitchen with a straight stiff face without any smile as she had not forgotten or even forgiven him for the last evening’s bitter embarrassment. Gopu finally gets up sleepily, thinking about the glum day ahead in his school. He could still sense that his mother hadn’t yet forgiven him. He delayed all the things and slowly ate the breakfast with his grim mood, thinking about the school. The already annoyed mother shouts "Do it fast you lazy boy, don’t you want to reach your school at sharp 8 AM???" After hearing his mother’s loud shrieking voice, he gulps down the breakfast hurriedly out of fear.

As usual Gopu was walking over the bridge to go to his school which was fifteen minutes away from his home. Suddenly at the end of the bridge he sees a weird alien- like creature looking at him intently. He was a short four feet- two inches man, with a long nose, moon like white round face, big cheeks and chinky green eyes. The attire which he donned was a full black coat, studded with precious stones around the collar, which appeared all the more amusing. Gopu was shocked to see such a creature. He was scared in the beginning, but summoned up the courage somehow and approached him. Gopu asked, "Hey, who are you?" The alien replied "Hey Mate, you hate going to school, right -Gopu?" Gopu was astonished further as to how this alien like creature knew his name. The alien with his husky odd voice replied, "Well, I have super- natural powers, more powers than you ordinary Earthmen have, I know everything about you. My name is Turbo, the crown prince of the land of Timberlu." After hearing his introduction, Gopu sheds his fear and is endeared to his smiling round face. "Will you like to be my friend?" he asked. "Of course, why not", replied Turbo and they shake each other’s hand.

Turbo said, "Well, since you don’t like going to school, why don’t you come with me, I will take you to a different world altogether, which you never must have witnessed or experienced". On hearing this Gopu felt that this is something exciting. He was eager to avoid going to school, and under this pretext he nodded for such an adventure, as an excuse to get rid of all his so called school troubles. Turbo held his hand and said "Come let’s fly…" Gopu was even more super excited, he said "Yes, why not." After holding Gopu’s hand Turbo with ease took off the ground like a supersonic jet and both flew in the air. Such an experience was a first time for Gopu; they flew on the sky lines in the midst of the white clouds, high and above. With full speed as they flew Gopu was thrilled as well as scared. It was a great sight when he saw the world below him from the sky.
