CHAPTER 10

“What?! There is a girl trapped inside it?! And you are telling me she is a princess of the fairies?” He asked me in disbelief.

I rolled my eyes, “Yes, right on point. Look, I told her that we can help to free her. I mean, we have been to her world before.”

“How could we possibly help her?! We have only been there once! Once, Lucy!” he responded, reluctant to accept my proposition. I understood what he said, and it was not insensible.

“She wants to see her family again, dear. Would you ever want to take that away from anyone?” I asked him, making him reconsider his decision. “No, I would not” He swallowed the last bits of his sentence.

“Right? I know this is a lot to take in, but she is real!

I can even show you!” I exclaimed.

“Alright, if she is somebody we need to help, then let’s go!” Justin answered with excitement in his voice.

Back Inside My Bedroom

“So, where is she?” Justin asked as soon as we entered my room.

“Right here!” I walked gracefully towards my vanity where he could immediately spot the “fairly ordinary” mirror.

“Hey, you both!” Chloe began as a pleasing smile appeared.

“Okay, okay, how do you know all this already?” I asked her in bewilderment. She explained that she just was not technically trapped in one mirror. She was trapped in a world of mirrors.

“That is how I knew about you both being a couple. Congratulations! I also knew that this was going to be official! Just like your mother, Lucy.”

“Thanks, Chloe! How sweet of you. But wait, I forgot to ask you this before. How did you get trapped inside that mirror?” I asked her.

“Well, I told my parents back in the fairy world that I wanted to go over to the human world again. I got transported inside that lush forest you both had previously explored. I stepped on the mirror, and I picked it up to look it over. It did look rather simple, and still a little dusty. I can agree with Justin on that. Anyway, I had rubbed off some of the dust off the frame and the mirror, and an old lady’s appearance was shown on it. She told me I can free her if I wished for her to be released. She told me to say her name, which was Zola Entho.” She further explained.

“Oh no... I think I can guess what happened after...” Justin’s voice trailed off.

“Yes, she tricked me. The moment she was freed, I got trapped inside instead. She mocks me, calls me a fool and tells me how nobody will ever care to bring a mirror like this one home. I wept before her, but she only laughed a malicious laugh before walking away. Now, my parents have no clue of where I have been over the last few days.” She frowned while drawing her eyes away from us.

“When should be the best time to start?” Justin asked.

“You are right. You are so right about that.
