Quinn stood in her gear watching the dead push against the fence. The iron fence protected by the construction fence behind it seemed to be holding out. She walked over guns at the ready in her hands as Carlos and Dani checked the gate and pulling up with squeal of breaks was Randy who jumped out and grinned at her.
"You look sexy in those guns in your hands and that…. relax! He said as she pointed one of the guns at him. She then looked away as Brody came up to them.
"No bullshit. Is that not what I said Randy?" Randy held up his hand wrapped in gaze an injury from last night she guessed She could see the bruises on his neck and a neat mark on the eye she had jammed the gun in. He then turned and flipped off Rick who came out with his baseball bat looking tired and stiff. She wondered how he felt after the fight last night. He looked around at everyone.
"Damn it stinks!" He said and pointedly ignored Randy who shook his head at him winked at Quinn and pointed out beyond the fence.
"Today I will perform a run that will make you all see me as the King of Loot! You all will be thinking of how awesome I have to be to slip by the dead and snatch up the booty “He looked at Quinn as he spoke the last word then at Dani who folded her arms and shook her head. “You will all be amazed and realized just how amazing the R man is."
"Three cheers for Pirate Randy." Carlos called and got a cold look from Randy. Brody voice carried over them now and the moans of the dead gathering excited by all the activity.
"Just get what we need. Keep channels open and hopefully you all will come back without any hitches in your Runs." Brody said and pointed up to the sky as it began to rain.
"Lucky day for you." Colin yelled waving he pole. The dead looked up and some began to pull away and look for shelter. Plenty still stayed nearby eyeing the living like it was free donut day. Quinn thought darkly. She stood hands on guns ignoring Randy who was making poses until Carlos shoved him and pointed to one of the vans. He flipped the Hispanic man off and headed for it.
"Oh yes we love rain! Makes the zombie smell more but run for cover. Odd how they don't like getting cold." Rick remark and gave James a look as he came out. Mandi did not join him. No doubt still unwilling to even be close to the dead. But she stood in the door way and waved to her guy. James waved back and she blew a kiss. Yeah she did not even want to come outside to say goodbye to her beloved James! The smell alone made Rick agree. But this was a necessity even if it felt like they were heading out to war.
