Chapter 29

I woke and stretched and felt sore everywhere. All over. Every muscle in my body felt strained and I felt stretched and used…and utterly amazing.

Given the acrobatics that had occurred the night before, it made sense that I hurt so good. It was the sweetest ache.

“You awake, darlin’?” Charlie’s voice floated through my mind, rich and deep and sexy as hell.

I fluttered my eyes open and smiled. “Why I do believe I am. What time is it?”

“It’s just past noon, we let you sleep. After last night we figured you needed it,” Harley’s voice joined in.

I sat up and looked around, the four of them were around the bed, looking at me with equal parts admiration and adoration. I felt like Snow White with the Dwarves hanging on her every word.

If Snow White had banged the Dwarves, that was.

And if those Dwarves had been damned hot.

As hot as these four men looking at me expectantly.

“I can’t believe I slept that long, I never sleep in,” I laughed. “You guys wore me out.”

“Don’t say that, we’ve got plans for you, kitten.” Ty grinned.

“But you get brunch first. And lost of thick, black coffee,” Clive chuckled. “You look like you could use it, sweetheart.”

“I need a shower, coffee, food and some space to work,” I replied. “In that order.”

“We’ve been up for a while and all the chores are done,” Charlie told me and held out his hand to help me out of bed. “We’d like to take you riding later, have you ever been on a horse?”

“Um, do pony rides at the fair count?” I asked. I’d always been a little scared of horses actually, but being introduced to riding with my guys made it seem safe somehow. They wouldn’t put me on an animal that I couldn’t handle; they wanted to keep me away from harm.

“No, baby girl,” Harley said with a smile. I flicked my eyes to him, happy that he’d remembered his new nickname for me, one dragged into the midst of our passionate sex. He blushed slightly and looked down, bashful at bringing up the memory of that moment here in the bright light of day.

“Baby girl, I still like it,” I said, reassuring him that his words and the memory were just fine.

“Then no, it’s not the same,” he laughed. “But we’ll get you hooked up with a nice old gelding. He’s real gentle.”

“Let her get cleaned up first, and we’ll get breakfast going,” Charlie said and then looked at me with a glint in his eye. “Wanna rock-paper-scissors to see who gets to scrub her back?”

In a flash all four of them had their fists out and I laughed as they frantically played the game until the last two of them were left. Charlie and Ty.

They called out the chant from childhood, “Rock! Paper! Scissors!” and Charlie threw a rock while Ty threw paper.

Ty won, and you’d think he’d just won the freaking lottery, he was so excited.

His excitement got me excited and we strolled into the massive master bedroom en suite together, him grinning from ear to ear.
