The “I pay taxes so I pay your wages” comment is heard often. Police would love to reply to many of them, “No, you need to have a job to pay taxes, mate. I pay taxes that pay my wage so really, I employ me. I probably am also paying you your centrelink benefit too. Here is your ticket, have a nice day.”

Police pull over a lady for drink driving.

Policeman - “Ma’am, Is there a reason you are driving whilst you are over the legal alcohol limit?”

Lady driver – “I wasn’t driving. You cannot take my license from me?”

Policeman – “I’m sorry, but I saw you driving.”

Lady driver – “I tell you I wasn’t driving. My car is an automatic……”

She lost her license.
