Chapter Twenty

Raine

THE LAST FEW days have been crazy. Even though the club doesn’t have Tony’s body back yet, Hollie and I have been taking care of arranging his funeral. We’ve arranged the viewing, gotten flowers, talked to the house bunnies about the food and drinks for when we all come back to the clubhouse.

I’ve arranged a limo for Hollie and myself, the guys will be riding their bikes behind the Hearst, and I’ve called in the other clubs. So far Bender’s club will be here and a few small support clubs will be here too. Now, we just need to wait for the cops to release his body so we can bury him with the honor he deserves.

Today, I’ve planned a surprise party for Satan. He doesn’t even know I know it’s his birthday. I’ll be there for a little while; until the stripper shows up. I’ve gotten Angel from Blazin’ Babes to come over and perform for my man. I trust him and know nothing will happen other than her dancing for him and possibly a lap dance.

Hollie thinks I’m crazy for getting him a stripper. She doesn’t understand the trust and faith I have in Satan. Yeah, I may not have been completely convinced in the beginning he could remain faithful, but he’s not given me a reason yet to doubt him. So, I’m going to prove to him how much I believe in him and in us.

“Heading to the clubhouse,” I tell Hollie. “You coming or going to stay here tonight?”

“I’m coming. Capone will be there tonight and I want to see him before we come back here,” she answers, grabbing her purse and following me out the door.

We head to the clubhouse where the guys all know about the party. The house bunnies also know about the party and have been helping me get the clubhouse clean and make sure there’s enough food for the guys. They’ve got the extra liquor and bought Satan’s favorite whiskey.

Hollie and I pull out of the driveway and I keep an eye on my rearview mirror. The same blacked-out car that followed me before is back again. This time whoever’s driving it, stays farther back. It’s not on my ass and making me nervous. Yeah, I’m worried someone is following me, but I don’t know if it’s worth bringing up to the guys. Maybe after Satan’s birthday I’ll talk to him about it.

“Do you think Satan has an idea of what’s going on?” Hollie asks.

“I don’t think so. Not as long as everyone’s kept their mouth shut,” I respond.

“I don’t think the guys have said anything. If anyone has, the house bunnies may have opened their mouth trying to get in his good graces,” my sister says.

I pull up to the gate at the clubhouse. Kyler follows the car that’s been following me. It hasn’t just been at the house, or parked down the road. I’ve seen the car down the street at the tattoo shop, parked in the parking
