2. To be clear, in almost all of our focus groups, we distribute a short questionnaire either at the beginning or at the end to obtain standard demographic information. This spares us the need to burn up focus group time asking and recording answers to these kinds of questions (age, race, education, time in Florida, time in the woods, etc.)

3. As we discuss in Chapter Twelve, one of Orlando’s many anti-panhandling ordinances requires panhandlers to obtain a permit, so being arrested for “soliciting without a permit” is entirely plausible.
