Hey Sara,

I know you deserve more than a text after my lengthy absence, but I am also aware that I may not warrant the chance to say it all. By writing my feelings down, I’m hoping nothing will get missed. Because, you need to know how important you are to me.

First of all, I want to tell you how sorry I am that I let things get this far. I know that you’ve only ever wanted to support me and make sure I was doing the right thing. Sometimes, I can be too stubborn for my own good. And it’s only now that I realise those dogged beliefs have cost me your friendship that I’ve seen how wrong I was to cling onto them. You’re worth more than what I did to you, and I’m sorry for that.

Although it hurt to hear, I understand why you said what you did. Even in recent times, I’ve lost myself in my work. I can’t promise it won’t happen again. I’m only human. But I am sorry for the upset it caused you.

I also want you to know that I appreciate you for being in my life these past thirteen years. The memories we shared will always be treasured in my heart. Your kindness ensured that. You made them special. So thank you. Thank you for being my ever-loving, ever-supportive, ever-awesome, best friend.
