Colby caught Kade’s gaze from the other side of the bed, a question plain on his face. You still want me here?

Colby had obviously sensed the shift in the room, the shift in Kade. Hearing that Tess trusted him had punched him right in the sternum. He’d told Colby tonight was just going to be about fulfilling a fantasy for an old friend because he hadn’t wanted to get into all of the history. But his friend knew him well enough to know that tonight was different than the times they’d shared women before. Kade hadn’t allowed himself to take real control tonight, to dominate Tessa. He’d treated her softer than any of the women he was typically with and Colby knew it.

And maybe he should want to kick Colby out. Kade would be lying to himself if he didn’t admit that he felt something for Tess. That she was more than a girl he was having a good time with. Hearing her say she trusted him, when he knew she had very little of that commodity left to give, had made everything in him feel lighter, hopeful. But the feelings didn’t change how he was wired. Sharing her with Colby, watching his friend give her pleasure, fed Kade’s dominance. Giving permission for another man to touch her was the ultimate feeling of ownership. You are mine. Others can only touch you when and how I say so. Your pleasure is mine to give and control.

And he was all too aware that Tessa was not his submissive. He didn’t own her, hadn’t even had the nerve to talk to her about the depth of what he really desired in a relationship. But for a little while, he wanted to experience how it could be with her.

He gave a quick nod to Colby and brushed his fingers along Tessa’s collarbone, enjoying how she quivered beneath the simplest of touches. Then, as if connected by the same wavelength, he and Colby lowered down to the bed and each took one of her dusky nipples in their mouths. Tess arched beneath them at the contact, and Kade let his hand slide down between her legs. She moaned softly as his fingers found her center. She was so wet and hot already, so goddamned sexy. His cock throbbed, need pounding through him, but it was Colby who moved onto the bed first and rolled on a condom.

Tessa’s eyes went a little wide as Colby bent her knees and spread her legs. Kade knew that Tessa had only been with her husband and him, so taking another lover was a big deal. But he didn’t sense any fear, just heightened awareness and curiosity. She kept glancing at Kade, and it pleased him that she was concerned about what he thought, like she was afraid to show real desire toward Colby.

But he wanted her to relish in that desire, roll around and drown in it. He’d picked his friend for a number of reasons.
