THIRTEEN
“STOP PAWING MY ASSETS.” My response to his hands on my ass and the teeth nipping the rounded swell of my breast is more breathless than I’d anticipated. This man knows how to get me worked up, but now is not the time.
He chuckles. “Stop showcasing them in black silk and I may be able to keep my hands off. Until then . . .”
I moan, and tug on his hair to loosen his grip on both parts. “I’m about to stand by your side while you speak to four hundred of your closest friends. Who, by the way, paid thousands of dollars to hear what slides off your wicked tongue. Let’s make sure they can’t tell where it was five minutes before we walk on stage.” I yank harder and finally find his eyes. Wicked is right. “Come here.”
We melt together. This kiss is simple and yet it speaks volumes. Colin and I could not be closer. We came out of the jailbreak incident stronger than ever. Enormously stupid escape plans lead to killer make-up sex. That should be a national headline.
I giggle and Colin pulls back, a brow raised in question.
“I love you,” I say, and straighten his bow tie.
His brow reaches new heights. “You find that funny?”
“No. I find that extremely gratifying. Your obsession with my breasts is hysterical.”
“Hmm.” He smiles and it’s more than wicked, more like the devil himself come to take me away. “You won’t be laughing tonight when I have them in my hands. Held tight while I kneel over you . . .” The rest of his words are lost as he dips to take a bite of said flesh, murmuring his decadence into the now flushed skin.
He looks up through his lashes. “Tell me, would you like to feel my cock slide along your skin?” Tickling a line along my cleavage with his tongue, he then says, “Right here?”
Just as my breath rushes forward and I feel a new beat pulsing in my groin, a knock resounds through the small anteroom and the door bursts open.
“Senator? We’re ready for you.” His campaign aide glances at me and then to the floor. I try to hold back the blush ready to rise on my cheeks. Honestly, I don’t know why I have a reaction anymore. I’m used to Colin’s hands and his mouth and his imagination on every part of me. It can’t be much of a surprise to his staff either.
“Hold that thought.” Colin winks, and then his face falls to serious. “Are you ready for this?”
I nod, because what else can I do? My place is by his side. “There’s nowhere I’d rather be.”
He smiles and brushes his lips against my forehead before turning and pulling me behind him as he navigates the hallway. It’s not a bad place to be. His broad shoulders and tight ass look fantastic in a tuxedo. I’m caught in that thought when bright lights force me back to reality. For a moment I’m blinded. And when I’m not, I wish I were.
