Chapter 18

Cam and Tad stopped in the hall outside their suite. As Tad put the card into the lock-slot, Cam burst out laughing.

“Darling,” she said rather loudly, “You are a gem. I’m glad your father threw us out.”

“Me too. Promise me I won’t ever have to go back there.”

“You keep me happy, darling, and I’ll guarantee it.”

Tad kissed the back of his hand, noisily.

“Tad! Behave yourself.”

“I can’t stay away from you!”

“Well, until we get to that blow, you have to, darling. Now don’t pout, you know what that does to me.”

“Yes. I do.” Tad said. “And that makes me want to pout even more.”

“You’re a very bad boy, Edward.”

“Then I guess you’ll have to punish me.”

“You’d love that!” She laughed.

They walked back into the bedroom.

“Get the coke out so we can do a little more,” Cam told him.

“Right away,” Tad answered. Then he leaped onto the bed and started to roll around.

“Oh, darling,” Cam said. She fell onto the bed, too.

They continued for a few minutes, laughing and moaning. Tad finally pushed the bed against the wall in a strict rhythm. Cam gasped with each bump. They each moaned loudly. Cam pointed at Tad to coordinate their moans and gasps. Finally both of them cried out in ecstasy.

“God, Laura,” Tad began, after a minute, sounding out of breath when he stopped. “How can you do that to me?” He moaned loudly. Then he and Cam started laughing.

“You’re a very, very naughty boy,” Cam gasped.

Cam took the package of cocaine and made it sound like they were imbibing again.

“Oh, Laura,” Tad finally sighed. After a moment, he said, “Tell me about your place in BC one more time. I know you told me a little, about the mountains and the snow in the winter, but I want to hear more. I can’t wait to see it.”

Cam took a breath before she started. “Well, the house is thirty-two-thousand square feet. It looks sort of like a giant log cabin but that’s from the outside only. The inside is absolutely gorgeous. I never remember how many bedrooms, but there are fireplaces in almost every room. The fireplace in the living room is made of stone and is almost six feet high. You could roast a whole cow in there, well, a small one, maybe.

“You’d think I had a large family with all the room, but most of the bedrooms are in the guest wing, far enough away from the master suites so that noise doesn’t disturb anyone. The dining room can seat twelve or fifteen people. My father liked to entertain his employees from time to time, so there’s room for a whole crowd.

“It’s about an hour northwest of Vancouver, unless you fly. I own a plane and there’s a pilot on retainer. I just have to notify him when I need it.”

“You don’t pilot it yourself?” Tad asked aghast.

“No. I have a pilot’s license but I hate filing flight plans and getting the plane ready, so I hired another pilot to do it for me.
