Easton won’t tell me where we’re going now. We’ve been driving for a few minutes and I’m honestly mesmerized watching his forearms as he changes gears. His muscles tensing and the veins coming to the surface every time he shifts. I’ve never seen forearms as alluring before, but everything about this man is sexy as sin.

When he came to my door it took everything in me not to pull him in and forget about dinner. The way his slick black button up clings to his muscled arms and chest, and the way his eyes scanned my body when he turned made me shiver. It was really hard to resist the urge.

But I know how important it was to him that we have a proper date and I spent far longer than I’d like to admit getting ready, so I forced the thoughts out. Now they’re back with a vengeance and I’m not sure how much longer I can push them aside.

I’m not even sure where we are at this point or how far out of the city, not that I would if I had been paying attention. Just when I think I’m about to burst Easton pulls off the main road.

He pulls into an empty lot under an expansive bridge, just as the sun disappears over the horizon. It looks like we’re at a large park overlooking the water.

“Where are we? This is beautiful.” I ask him. Neither of us making a move to get out of the car.

“Mount Pleasant waterfront. I’ve always loved coming out here. I used to come here a lot when I was younger to think or generally get into trouble. Don’t get much time for that now, but I wanted to show it to you. It’s kind of my spot. It’s always pretty empty after dark and is a nice spot to watch the sunset.” I lean my head on his shoulder and he places a tender kiss on my forehead.

“It’s lovely, thank you.” I sigh.

“Don’t thank me just yet. I have an ulterior motive for bringing you out here.” He says with a mischievous grin.

“Oh yeah what’s that?” I turn my head to look him in the eye. He gently moves me off his shoulder to get a better look at me.

“You know how to drive a stick right?”

“You mean the car or…” he laughs. “I mean either way the answer is yes. I learned to drive in my dad’s old Bonneville and the other, well you’ll just have to find out for yourself. Wait, are you going to let me drive?” I ask not even trying to hide the excitement.

“Yeah, I’m going to let you drive it. Wanted to be in an empty lot since I’ve never seen you drive let alone a manual. And this lot has a round-a-bout that can be fun. If you do well, I’ll let you drive it back to my place.”

Ok, officially the best date ever. This gorgeous, sweet hunky man takes me out, and I get to drive my dream car? Someone pinch me.
