Kiss Me

In the two weeks since Trystan and Meagan's engagement, Jenny and Harper had moved into Lilly Cottage. The summertime horse camp had many families that had signed up, thanks to Jenny. Meagan sat in her art room, working on something for Trystan. The surprise Lilly Cottage sign she made for Jenny and Harper hung behind her current work.

Meagan was singing along to her 1990s Mixed on her cell phone while. Trystan rode Max around Meadows Run. He heard Meagan singing from the studio, and it warmed his heart to see her so happy.

Then, Meagan looked out the window and saw the best wood plank for Trystan’s project behind the show barn. She stretched, leaving the room, and waving to Rosie, Sunlight, and Little Dawson, who watched her.

“Hey cowgirl,” Trystan shouted from the riding ring, “are you going to ride today?”

“Not today, almost done with this piece.”

Meagan said, taking the wood and walking it into the room.

“Can I watch you after putting Max away?”

He got no answer, and he had learned that was a no. Jenny and Harper came down in their little cart to look at Meagan's work. Meagan heard the pop on her phone and saw a text from Jenny.

“Can we see it?”

Meagan walked over to the door, waved them in, and did a finger waggle no at Trystan. As Jenny and Harper walked in, Meagan put the last pieces of wood on.

“Meagan, he is going to love it,” Harper said

“Thank you, Harper. How are you guys doing today?” Meagan asked.

“We’re doing great. Guess what, we’re pregnant!” Jenny said, jumping up and down like a schoolgirl.

“You’re what?” Meagan jumped back.

“We’ve been trying through IVF for a while. We, of course, had to tell you first, but we want to wait to tell everyone after we see the Doctor tomorrow. We still want to wait.” Harper said, putting her hand on her belly.

“Sounds good. Can I tell Trystan?” Meagan asked.

“Jenny and I want to tell him together, Harper said, “We just couldn’t wait to tell you.”

Meagan was over the moon about Jenny and Harper’s news. She felt new life all around her; she thought about her mom Alice and her struggle with infertility. Harper wanted to be the one who told Trystan her big news. Jenny stayed with Meagan to talk about the change in the Lilly cottage. Harper came into the room, and Trystan did a hand wave at them. Meagan covered her work.

“You can come in now, cowboy.” She all said to him.

Trystan went right over and hugged Jenny. “Thank you, but I should get my love home,” Jenny said.

“Jenny, I will be fine. I am hungry.” Harper said.

Meagan looked at her man and grabbed his butt. He spun around, picked Meagan up, and kissed her. After that, the four returned to the house to have lunch.

By the end of the day, Jenny and Trystan talked about the plans for Lilly Cottage. Trystan called a friend, who helped work on the place five years ago, who could help.
