Chapter Eleven

Dan had nipped into the office after he’d dropped the kids off at school. Ned had rung him in a panic as one of their clients had changed his mind in the middle of a fitting and they needed a plan altering. He’d done a quick redraw after reading through the planning application contract - double checking that his alterations wouldn’t affect the application - otherwise he’d have to resubmit. Satisfied he’d kept the measurements within the specified confines, he left Ned with the updated drawing and left again. Ned wasn’t overly happy, but after he’d explained about his messing everything up and trying to save his marriage he’d wished him luck. Ned had been a friend to both himself and Lauren since school - he was also god father to their children - all of them - so knew their story. Again, he rubbed his chest with his knuckles before pushing away unpleasant thoughts.
