This trip had been one surprise, followed by another.

Meeting Daisy, spending time with her, and being willing to give up days of riding on the mountain while on the trip I looked forward to taking every year for that reason just so I could spend time with her was the start of the surprises. All of that would have been more than enough for me to call this trip a great one.

But I got more than that.

The way Daisy shared freely with me, how she was open about certain things—like her dream—was the next biggest surprise.

I’d always been the kind of guy who knew how to have a good time. There were times in my life when I knew I needed to be serious—for example, anything that pertained to the work I did as a bodyguard—but then there were times like this. Times when I could kick back, enjoy myself, and do whatever made me happy.

Daisy fit right in.

While I believed it was possible when I first met her that I could have a couple of conversations with her and maybe meet up with her once or twice over the entire time of my trip, she’d given me a reason to want more than that.

Best of all, she seemed to be on board with it as much as I was. It was great to know the feeling had been mutual.

For that reason, I hadn’t anticipated I’d encounter any more surprises when it came to the trip. I simply thought Daisy and I would continue to have a great time, doing something fun every day for the remainder of the time we had together.

But I was wrong.

Because the biggest surprise on this trip came tonight, and it wasn’t even the obvious. Of course, I’d been caught off guard by the fact Daisy had asked to spend the night in the cabin with me and even more shocked she’d asked me to take her to my bed. I fully intended to discuss a few things with her about both of those, because I certainly had some questions for her.

The most unexpected thing that had happened was what occurred not long after I’d carried Daisy to the bed and gotten in it with her. While her beautiful body was beneath mine and she was holding on to me the way she was, she’d asked me if I’d give her what she wanted. It took me a moment to respond, because while I was more than prepared to give her what she was asking for right then and there, I recognized something else was happening.

As my eyes had roamed over her face, I realized I wanted to give Daisy a lot more than just a good night, more than just a good time on this trip. The thought had caught me completely by surprise, and I’d needed to take a minute to pull myself together then.

Fortunately, I’d succeeded, and what we had from that point forward was nothing short of amazing.

Now, I was here in the bed with her, both of us were naked, and I thought a discussion was in order.
