Chapter 14
The door slammed behind us, leaving us feeling all giddy and excited.
Room number two was well perfumed and calm with gentle music playing in the background. The lights were dimmed, and the atmosphere peaceful and relaxed.
In one corner of the room, there were the same candle stands as in room number one, yet these candles were probably what caused the enchanting aroma surrounding us. On a high rack, I saw my beautiful dress, which I took off earlier, during my time with Nathan. It was hanging in an immaculate state, and to be honest, I released a sigh of relief, seeing it there like that.
On the floor, in the center of the room sat a large mattress with two neatly folded white towels, one on each end, and several pillows scattered on top.
A large red velvet curtain, similar to the one stretched on the walls of my apartment at the cocktail party, hung to our right. It blocked our way to see past it, but it sure raised our curiosity and got our hearts beating faster as we tried to figure out what lay on its other side.
"Hello Naomi, and hello to you too, Roy," a young man dressed in white from head to toe greeted us.
"Hello yourself," Roy and I said at the same time and giggled for it.
"In this room, you'll be cleaning up. You'll be cleaning your head, body, and mind."
"Now, there's a challenge I'd gladly accept," Roy whispered to me.
"This is a purification room, meant to purge all that is impure in you," the guy dressed in white continued.
"I don't know what you're used to doing behind closed doors in rooms which have a large mattress and scented candles, but everything that comes to my mind right now is as far away from being pure as possible." My comment made Roy laugh, and for some reason, I took pride in that achievement.
"The mattress is there so you can pamper each other with a romantic and intimate massage, though it's perfectly fine if you just want to lie down and talk during your time in this purification room."
"Oh, yes! Massage! I choose to get a massage! That would be wonderful!" I said and giggled as I remembered the numerous times that artistic woman used the word "wonderful" in the other room.
"He said we can give each other massages, Naomi, you selfish pig." Roy rubbed his shoulder against mine, and I didn't like the reaction of my body to his touch. Or more accurately, I didn't like that my body loved his touch as much as it did.
"But Naomi, you can't get on the white mattress looking like this." The guy pointed to the colorful shape I was in.
The paint I applied earlier to myself had already dried, and I knew that as soon as it would mix with any type of liquid, it would dissolve again, thus soiling everything in room number two badly.
"I... Well… Is there anywhere I can wash up?" I looked around curiously.
"Certainly."
