Not surprisingly the taxi ride turned out to be the hottest twelve-minute trip of my life. Lincoln spouted off directions to the driver, then sent Ryan a text letting him know we wouldnât be coming back inside at Vanderâs. As soon as he slipped his phone back in his pocket, he rested his palm on my thigh and dipped his head to take control of my mouth again.
Heâd got me so worked up outside the club that the feeling of his lips and the sensation of his stubble brushing against my skin had me gripping handfuls of his t-shirt. It took all my willpower not to tear it off over his head.
Neither of us bothered coming up for air for a while, kissing and groping with an intensity that bordered on insanity.
I wanted to climb over him in the backseat of the cab, shove my panties to the side and sink onto him. Waiting was torture. âI need you, Lincoln,â I said, keeping my voice low, even though the driver had probably seen and heard everything.
He kissed the corner of my mouth then the underside of my jaw, moving down my neck until his lips came to rest at the base of my throat. His tongue dipped into the hollow there, his breath warm against my skin. âMmm⦠soon, sweetheart.â
I sank my hands into his hair and pulled his mouth up to meet mine again, desperate for more of his long, drugging kisses. He smiled before our lips touched, then dived in and kissed me until I could barely breathe.
It was only when we stopped outside Lincolnâs place that I managed to get myself under control. As I stepped from the cab out onto the darkened street, I worked through a series of deep breaths and waited for him on the footpath.
My gaze lifted to take in the terrace house in front of me. It appeared as if it had been recently renovated, with the front painted a crisp white, and black wrought iron balustrades on each of the three levels. Sconces on either side of the red front door had been left on, illuminating the small porch.
He shared the house with his bandmates, but for now, we had it all to ourselves.
Lincoln moved in beside me as the cab pulled away from the curb.
âThis is nice,â I said, glancing up at him.
He slipped his arm around me and drew me closer. âI want to show you around and make you feel at home, but first...â he said, lowering his head to kiss me, âI seriously need my hands on you.â
My breath left me in a rush, and I reached for his hand, interlocking my fingers with his as our mouths met in a slow, deep kiss. Excitement and anticipation swirled in my stomach. âSave the tour for later,â I said beside his lips. âTake me straight to your room.â
Once we were inside, he rushed me up the stairs to the second floor and pulled me into what I presumed was his bedroom.
