Mathis was sitting in his office when the door opened and Raz walked in, followed by Gavin. He smiled when he saw them.

“Hey, it feels like forever since we’ve seen each other.”

Raz laughed. “Not really that long. How are things going with Gabriel?”

The smile fell off Mathis’ face. “We’re doing okay, but his coven is a mess.”

Gavin frowned and signed.

“I know we knew that, but this is different, one of the witches is killing off the rest so he can rule the coven.”

“What the hell,” Raz exclaimed. “Do you know who it is?”

“I do. I’m researching him at the moment. His name is Kay Webb, and he has also set explosives around the coven house.”

Gavin signed again.

“Sorry Gav, I didn’t get all that. I’m hoping that was. ‘What am I doing here?’”

Gavin nods.

“He sent me home. He wants to deal with the problems himself and doesn’t want me to get injured in the process.”

“Well, that sucks. Doesn’t he realise that isn’t how we do things?” Raz said.

“Not yet, but he’ll learn,” Mathis replied.

“And we’ll all be there to help him when he does,” Raz said, with Gavin nodding.

“Yes, we will.”
