CHAPTER SEVENTEEN

Roaming back up to the clubhouse, I see a party is in full swing. Everyone is celebrating and rejoicing the victory we weren’t sure we were going to have. None of us, except for Mad Dog, who was the only brother confident we were going to pull this kill off. And we did, even managing to be the knights in shining armour for once. The women from the Ingratos hangout are all looking like they’re relaxing as they eat and talk to the club girls. All except for Jess, who’s on the pool table shooting ping-pong balls out of her pussy into Crash’s tiny basketball hoop.

Looking off to the other side of the room, the brothers and club girls are getting it on. Even some of the women from the Ingratos are getting in on the action. The little girls however, are nowhere to be seen, and I notice Aimie is absent too. So I’m assuming she’s off looking after them. Which is good, they’ve seen enough shit in their short lives, they don’t need to see a biker party too.

Glancing around, I can’t see Skye anywhere, so I duck outside and notice she’s sitting under the burning tree talking to Emma and Behemoth. Smiling as she sits, the flames of the fire lighting her beautiful face, a flitter flows through my stomach as I step over to them. She peeks up at me and a wide smile crosses her face.

“Hey handsome.” Her angelic voice rings through my ears making me smile in response, as I stride up to her and place out my hand.

“Hey gorgeous,” I reply as she takes my hand and I pull her up from the chair and into my arms. She giggles, wrapping her arms around my neck and looks straight into my eyes. Her bright blue irises sparkling against the moonlight.

“So you went into the fire and burnt everything in your path, right?” she asks and I tilt my head and smirk.

“What do you mean by that?”

Her fingers run through the hair at the nape of my neck. “I saw you go into the Chop Shop with the Prez and Chops. That’s twice you’ve been in there now.”

Exhaling out of my nose, I rest my forehead against hers and swallow. “Does that bother you?”

She half-smiles. “I’m not stupid, I’ve been here long enough to know what goes on down there. You going down there is… concerning. I just worry that maybe, either they’re making you go there and you’re staying out of duty, or the other scarier thought is you’re going because you actually like it down there.”

Tensing slightly because the answer is a little of both, I decide I’d rather put her mind at ease and not let her think I enjoy torturing people. “Skye, what goes on down there, I can’t talk about it… you know that. But I will say that the man down there tonight, he deserved what he got. I’m not going to lie to you, I enjoyed
