HE WOKE WITH HER LIPS on his. Hot, wet; her sweet tongue flicking at his. She was so delicious, so willing. He wanted more. When he opened his eyes, she was gone but his longing didn’t disappear as quickly. He had to get this thing under control. She was on his mind all of the time and now invading his dreams. This wasn’t being far to her or himself. She’d come here to find love and he had a job to do. Both of their contracts prevented them from having a relationship with each other. How serious would other producers take him if he broke his contract with S&M? And the media backlash she would face if she got kicked off of the show because she fraternized with the staff. It would be detrimental. Media trolls can be unforgiving especially if they thought there was a better suited man for Sheri. They watched in front of their television and smart phone screens the pining and yearning. They thought they “knew” each person on the show, unaware of the games that were played behind the scenes.

The staff was taught how to elicit certain reactions and responses from the cast. The cast had no clue they were being played like puppets. The bigger the reaction the higher the ratings. Alcohol was never denied to a cast member. It was as readily available as water. If a male cast member became nostalgic or sad during one of his camera interviews, female viewers immediate became sympathetic towards him. Requests would come flooding in to show him more. The viewers never saw how he might have been a complete ass to a fellow cast mate and deserved the backlash he received. All they would see would be the drama and the backlash. Not what lead up to it.

He didn’t want to do that to Sheri. He would focus on doing his job the best he could then get out of it. He wanted bigger and better for his career. Documentaries were where he wanted to be. Something that mattered and that had substance.

Sheri also had an opportunity to meet a great guy and find love again. There were a couple of guys on this show that seemed truly genuine. He owed her that chance.

After a cold shower and quick breakfast, he felt better about his resolve. Then he walked into the pool area and saw her looking for him. He tried to remember his objective but she looked so damn beautiful. Wearing a black cotton T-shirt and shorts, her hair pulled back into a long ponytail. She had no make-up on but she glowed; fresh and natural. Stunning. She saw him and he quickly averted his gaze, focusing on the other contestants, his equipment; anything but her. He couldn’t help himself and when he looked at her again, he saw her lean back into Leon’s chest, her eyes closed.

He felt sick. He wanted to reach out and rip the man’s throat out, yelling at him to keep his hands off of his woman.
