Chapter Twenty-Three
Brielle
The past three days, Marcel and I had Noah and Liam with us on shoots to ease them in to our crazy work life.
Marcel finally gave them reign on Thursday, showing off their skills with his supervision, of course. Marcel sent me a text of the two guys at work and showed me the shots they took. I was wildly impressed!
Hannah has been doing great as well. Sheâs been soaking in everything Marcel sends her way. Donât even get me started on the level of creativity that girl has stored inside that pretty head of hers.
Hannah has beautiful long hair the color of sand â dark blonde with streaks of light blonde highlights. Her hazel doe-eyes only makes her the cutest little thing. Seeing her character bloom every day only makes me dread the day she leaves us. Sheâs incredibly witty without trying and is always laughing out with Melanie somewhere in our office. I love how theyâre brightening our office by being themselves.
Melanie has been working close with Andrea and Karla, keeping them updated with the organization of our office files. Theyâve been working on some pretty cool things for our new office. Andrea has started looking into our accounts, making sure everything is in order with Melanieâs guidance for now. Music to my ears. Thatâs why people adore working with him.
Simon updated us last Wednesday that he has gotten the main floor ready and weâll be able to move in on Friday.
Heâs efficient and reliable. Sorry Nate Berkus, you may have some competition on your hands.
Friday arrives and Iâm the first one to get to our old office before Simon and Melanie does. Simon arranged for a moving truck to help us with the move.
We got pretty lucky with our schedule. Today and the rest of the weekend is open for us to move our things.
Simon still has his work cut out for him with two more floors to finish within the following week. However, our primary office area is officially completed.
The prime color used in the space is white. The floors are polished concrete. All the lighting coming through the industrial windows will always make my heart squeal in joy for having natural lighting.
We now have enough space to fit more than just our team. Simon had the same wooden desks made for everyone else.
I donât have my own room, which works out great for a bigger pantry and a meeting room that could probably fit at least twenty people. The open space concept means our tables face each other with a half-divider to stick notes on. The exact replica of the foldable glass on Simonâs sketch last week is now in place.
The new iMacs I ordered are waiting to be unboxed on four extra wooden tables. At least Scott will have a computer to make use of when he joins us.
Weâre all spread out, organizing things with Simonâs close supervision. The office is starting to look amazing with a bright magenta couch in place. I let them enjoy our new amenities and excuse myself to get to a photo shoot.
