Mia felt the bed shift as Josh slid into bed behind her, and he tightened his arm across her stomach.

She shifted so she could feel his naked body pressed against her back and breathed in his fresh scent. Burrowing deeper into the sheets and more firmly against him, she luxuriated in the feel of his hands on her body. She rolled in his arms, sending fluttery caresses over his cool, slightly damp skin. He smiled as they stared at one another, and he kissed her. She let him press her onto her back and slide over her. She splayed her legs, letting him settle between them.

“Good morning.”

“Good morning,” she replied, wrapping her arms around his neck. “How did it go?”

“Okay,” he answered, ducking to kiss the sensitive skin beneath her ear, down the side of her neck, and moving down to pay particular attention to her breasts, the nipples already pebbling against his skin. She moaned as he teased her, bringing her to a feverish pitch, and she arched off the mattress as he reached beneath her, lifting her up so that she lay within his arms and slowly slid inside her. Mia looked into his eyes and saw such desperate longing there; it ignited a fire that threatened to consume her. She loved him so much. He began to rock with her, and this time, their lovemaking felt different — a raw, almost desperate need about him and the unquenchable fire raging inside her. She held him, giving her body and heart to him. Accepting everything he was trying to tell her, to show her as he held her, she met him stroke for stroke until slowly, deliciously, they came apart in each other’s arms.
