Chapter 7

Lauren

His lips slammed into mine again, leaving me bewildered as to why I was totally and completely okay with him kissing me. Earlier it took me off guard, but I didn’t hate it. Actually, it was that kiss that made me realize I needed tonight more than I thought I did. His lips? God, they felt good. This time, though? This time I was too turned on to think straight. I thought I had eye fucking down to a science coming over here tonight, but he blew me out of the water. The way he watched me when the conversation was going was intense. It was sexy. It made me forget every reason why I needed to stay away.

I kissed him back once I wrapped my mind around what was happening and what was about to happen. Like Magda said, just one time should be enough to throw him off. I was trying not to wonder why this felt so wrong, but I knew the truth. It was because I was feeling more for this man than I wanted to admit.

But I ignored those feelings. I had to in order to get through tonight. Instead, I put everything I had into making this moment feel better than I ever would have imagined.

And he didn’t disappoint.

His hands snaked to the back of my head, holding me in place to kiss me like he was starved for it. His hips ground against me, his erection evident in his tight jeans. I moaned, my fingers trailed down his chest then snuck under the hem of his shirt and pulled it off, only breaking our kiss long enough to get it off and toss it to the floor. I wanted to see him and appreciate his body since this would be my only chance. My fingers danced across his toned abs, up to his pecs, down his muscular arms. He was power. A force to be reckoned with. And I was, for the night, letting myself be a pawn in his game. It wasn’t too hard. I was so turned on I would probably do anything for him to touch me.

“Bedroom,” I whispered frantically as I tugged on the button of his jeans. He chuckled and pushed his hand against my throat lightly, then pulled back to lock eyes with me.

“You don’t call the shots this time,” he said, his voice laced with lust and attraction. “Trust me. There’ll be plenty of time for the bedroom later.” He caressed his thumb along my jaw and over my lips. I didn’t break eye contact when he pushed it into my mouth and I closed around it, sucking. One side of his mouth tipped up, then he popped his thumb out and brought my lips to meet his for a hard kiss right before lifting me by my waist. I let out a laugh when he rounded the couch and fell to it. My legs were wrapped around him, straddling him, and his hands had already pushed my dress past my hips.
