When Harmony did wake up, she wondered if it was all a dream. The throbbing of her pussy and the stiffness in her leg told her otherwise. There was just one thing missing. One thing that would make her know that it was real.

As she turned to go into the bedroom, she could hear music in the kitchen. She shook her head at the idea that Thornton was cooking food for her.

Walking in slowly, she saw the man that had passionately taken her in the kitchen.

“Your breakfast awaits, my lady.” He smiled as she dragged the sheet behind her.

“But, but that’s my job.” She felt out of place. He had done things to her in the bedroom that she had only heard about. All the men she had slept with only took; they never gave anything.

She wondered if it was all a dream as she blinked her eyes and flashed back to last night.

“Let me get changed. I’ll cook. I’ll...”

He waved his finger. “No need. Sit down and eat over there.” He pointed to the breakfast table and said, “Sit.”

She did as he commanded. She was good at that. Apart from this one time—this one time she worried that she had over-stepped the mark. She had put everyone’s life at danger, and for what? A man she hardly knew, who could—in all reality—be no better than the man that she was working for, Joshua.

She sat down restlessly and wrapped the sheet around her as if it was a second skin.

Thornton tutted, “Drop the sheet.”

She was confused. “What?”

Thornton repeated, “Put the sheet on the floor. I want to see your body in its full glory.”

She felt self-conscious, knowing that a man like Thornton was used to seeing women with perfect bodies. Not one like hers, which had stretch marks and curves in too many places.
