Cassie

“I can’t tell you how happy I am that you’re eating something other than crap and you’re eating it outside.” Taylor tells me basking in the early sun. With her blonde hair and long legs, she was made for tanning and bikinis.

Somehow, she managed to get me to shower, get dressed in something that doesn’t resemble sweatpants and a tank top; then dragged me to the coffee shop down the street from her place. She does have a point, it’s much nicer outside.

“I’m not really sure if a chocolate chip cookie constitutes as something other than crap, Taylor. As a nutritionist I expect you to know the difference.”

“Shut up. Don’t ruin the moment.” She teases lowering her sunglasses so she can level her bright green eyes on me. “Eat your damn cookie.”

“Yes mam.” I take a bite. “What do you want to do tonight?”

Taylor sits up in her chair. “Well, I don’t know, I might have plans.”

“Oh? A date?” I tease dancing my brows up and down.

“Maybe.”

“Who with?” I ask and then feel the tinge of pain of not having someone to go out on a date with.

“Ah-uh, you’ll get nothing from me. This one is a secret for now.” She says before zipping her lips and throwing away the key.

“Will I ever know?”

“I’m sure you will.” She says with a huge smile.
