Chapter Ten
The coordinates Rolex provided allowed the Mad Dogs to get satellite images of the areas where the detention facilities were located. It was scary how mundane the images looked.
Little villages, suburbs and jungles, H thought as he looked at the locations.
“Are you sure these are correct?” H asked, and shot Rolex a glare laced with doubt.
“Positive.”
The confidence in the old Mad Dog’s voice was so strong as they viewed the SAT images that H believed the man. As much as he wanted to believe Rolex wasn’t in on the abduction of his pack mates, he couldn’t. Rolex was too worked up, too worried, and too pissed off at the whole situation to be faking his innocence. If he was involved, he was a dammed good actor but H didn’t believe he was. Still, that didn’t stop H from being pissed at the man. This whole fiasco was the Council’s doing and Rolex was part of the Council.
Fucking politics, H cursed mentally.
Always is, H. Doc’s voice was calming as he replied. Gather the intel we need and we’ll get them back. Doc reassured him. Even if we have to decimate the Council to do so.
H blocked his emotions from his mate at hearing Doc’s last words. Doc was a gentle giant, the one with the most empathy and the least violent of the unit. That didn’t mean the medic was a pansy ass pushover or any shit like that. Doc could hold his own and had balls of steel when it came to doing his job and saving their asses in the field when needed. H was still taken aback by his bondmate’s comment which promised violence if the Council got in their way.
“Let’s base our time frame on when I put Hay in the lounge for Shanna’s interview. That will narrow down our potential sites,” Rolex’s voice broke through H’s thoughts about his mate.
“What time was that?” H asked as he stood over the communication’s console.
“1800.”
“Do you think she interviewed him at all first?” H inquired as he pulled up the right screen and typed in the time.
“It’s likely.” Rolex frowned at the two dozen satellite images on the screens before him. One of them was the location where the two Mad Dogs were being held prisoner. If only he knew which one.
Rolex wasn’t surprised the Council wanted to know more about Sullivan’s hybrid form, but never in a million years had he thought they would abduct the wolf. Additionally, what he couldn’t understand was why they would take the newest member of the team as well.
What the hell does Hay have to do with anything? Rolex wondered to himself.
“So we will use 1830 as our starting point,” H’s tense tone pulled Rolex from his thoughts. “Even if that cunt’s interview only lasted fifteen minutes, it won’t make much of a difference with these locations.”
H entered the time variable and the comparable flight times into the computer in front of him. He could have sat in the chair he had pushed away but he had too much energy to plant his ass in the rolly seat.
