Chapter Four

It’s the peak of the season, marking the beginning of a series of swim meets before the next full moon. They are training harder, and there’s little time for anything but sleeping, swimming, eating, and sleeping some more. Time on campus feels like a blur, with the ring of the bell jolting them out of a comatose nap in almost every class.
