As soon as Vicki fell asleep I went in search of Jules. Melanie is a bitch yes, but she’s the woman he loves, and though I could give a shit about her he’s my heart ya know.

I found him in the media room playing one of those stupid ass video games. “Hey Jules.”

“Hey lil bro, I thought you were asleep.”

“I wanted to talk to you first. Listen I want to apologize for earlier, Melanie got what she deserved but that couldn’t have been easy for you…”

“Stop right there bro, you have nothing to apologize for, Melanie was wrong right across the board, had no right to say that shit to lil sis. I wish I knew what the fuck her problem was though, jealousy maybe, but that’s crazy right?”

“Who the fuck knows with females, it seems for some it doesn’t matter how beautiful they are or how much nice shit they have there’s always something the other one have that they want.”

I shrugged my shoulders, I didn’t give a shit what that bitch’s issue was with my girl, just as long as she didn’t fuck up again and caused me to do something that would hurt my brother.

“Besides, we got more important things to deal with right now.” When Jules started cracking his knuckles and popping his neck somebody was about to get fucked up.

“What’s up?” I dropped down beside him.

“That Timothy kid, what’re we doing about him?”

“Well, I already put my foot up his ass. He knows to stay the fuck away from her, but we’ll see how bright he really is.”

“You think he knows what his father and the sheriff are into, maybe he’s part of it?”

“I’m not sure, I hate his fucking guts, but Vicki keeps saying she’s the one who initiated the kiss. Although she says he’d been pressuring her for more than friendship, so I don’t know what kind a guy he really is, that’s some twisted shit…”

“What about the other, what are we gonna do? We need a course of action, can’t go off half cocked.”

“I know. We need hard evidence but I can’t seem to come up with how to get that shit. We’ll figure it out though, no way we can let that shit go. You didn’t tell dad did you?”

“Uh oh, what are you two up to over there?”

Dad came into the room and sat after ruffling our hair like we were five. “Hey hands off the hair pal.”

“That shit’s fucked already son.”

Jules cracked the fuck up. Huh, old man had jokes.

“Dad, just the man we wanted to see.” Jules gave me a what the fuck look but we both know we were gonna need dad in on this shit. We just wanted to have more to go on before bringing him. Well he’s here now so what the fuck!

“Oh yeah, what’re you two up to?”

“Nothing dad.”

“Jules, the last time I saw you two whispering and plotting in a corner I ended up having to replace every window in the widow Dillard’s house, don’t bullshit me.
