(Death to the foreigners.) Not in the East, not in the West, not in the South, nay, not even in the North, is there a power capable of subjugating our national destiny or staining our national honor. (Death to the gringos.) As in the centuries gone by so in the centuries to come Mexico will never lack patriots to follow in the steps of the victorious of Puebla. (Vivan los patriotas.) You have seen upon this stage that the mold of heroes has not been broken. (Vivan los heroes.) Should our country call it may be that from the ranks of the First Battalion of the Escuela Municipal de Varones Número Tres of this noble city of Mazatlán will come the saviours of our Republic. (Viva la republica. Viva el Batallón. Viva la Escuela Municipal de Varones Número Tres.)
