Beautifully designed to reach head-spinning heights, the bar-headed goose flies higher than any other migratory bird. With a strong heart, large lungs and blood that's amazing at holding onto oxygen, it can breathe deeply enough to travel unscathed through thin, high-altitude air. Mountaineers have even claimed to have spotted bar-headed geese swooping over Mount Everest, although this is yet to be proven for sure! Either way, the bar-headed goose is a bit of a medical marvel.
