HE’D DISAPPOINTED Bill. Joe had thought he couldn’t feel any worse after Donald’s treatment, but he’d been wrong. Honestly, what more could he have done? Standing up to someone who had your professional fate in their hands wasn’t possible. It just wasn’t.

“So, if we’re talking about enjoying the time we have left, does that mean we can start right away?” Bill seemed to have recovered. His wicked grin made Joe’s balls tingle as his cock began to fill.

“What did you have in mind?” Joe hoped it would involve some more incredible sex. It seemed as if he’d become insatiable ever since Bill had started opening his eyes to the possibilities of what else two men could get up to in a bedroom. Or anywhere else, really.

“I’d really like to eat something first. Make sure we’ve got enough energy. And then I was thinking this might be a good time to visit your apartment, give us a bit of a change of scenery.” Bill winked.

“I like the food part.” He rubbed his rumbling belly for emphasis, then pretended to frown. “Not too sure about visiting my apartment, though. You do realize that this is a work night?”

“A work night?” Bill’s eyes widened. “You mean you’re opposed to you-know-what on a work night?”

“Gotcha.” He grinned at Bill’s obvious sigh of relief. “Just kidding. I’d love to show you my apartment and see what else we can, um, get up to.”

“Excellent.” Bill laughed. “Got to watch out for your sense of humor.”

They quickly got in their food orders, happy with the choice of simple bar food the pub offered. Bill ordered a hamburger with all the trimmings, and Joe decided to try the Irish nachos: thick-cut Irish chips (aka fries) heaped with black beans, two cheeses, diced tomatoes, jalapeños, sour cream, guacamole, salsa, and ground beef. That should keep him happy. Both of them went for sodas since they’d have to drive later.

“I’ve been meaning to ask you about your fitness studio.” Joe hoped he wasn’t intruding into anything too personal, but he didn’t want the silence to become uncomfortable, so they needed something to talk about while they ate. And he was sort of curious about how the whole thing of setting up a gym might work.

“What about it?” Bill put down the hamburger he’d been devouring.

“Just how it’s going, really.” Joe shrugged. Where to begin with his questions? He didn’t want to get into the business side of it, although that was fascinating as well. So he’d start with the more obvious practicalities that intrigued him. “The space seems so huge and empty, it’s hard to imagine how you’ll get it all organized.”

“I guess compared to an elevator shaft, the space I have must seem almost limitless. It isn’t, though. All those cardio training machines I’m planning to have downstairs will take up a lot of floor space if you don’t want the studio to seem cramped. That’s a decision I made early on, not wanting the place to look like too many machines had been stuffed into too little space.
