usual collection of elderly folk who’d had similar difficulties to Will with staying on their feet, and one or two kids with obvious injuries. “I feel a bit embarrassed being here, you know,” Will hissed to Baz.

“Ever been to an STD clinic?” Baz muttered back. “Trust me, that’s far worse.”

Will grinned—then froze. “Is this something I should have known about before the other night?”

“Keep your bloody voice down!” Baz glared at him. “And no, all right? That was ages ago. Clean as a

bloody whistle, I am.”

Which was a bit of a relief, seeing as Will had blown him.
