Chapter Five

For the first time in a long while, Jordie felt like himself. With his cast taken off the night before, Jordie no longer needed to look for his crutches the first thing in the morning. He got out of bed, rubbing his eyes. Walking to the door, he heard Zack and Matt’s voices outside, with Matt biding Zack to be careful out there. Slipping out of the room, Jordie managed to catch his brother by the doorway.

“Look who’s finally back on his own two feet,” Matt remarked, seeing him. Jordie couldn’t keep the flush out of his cheeks. With Zack’s absence, they had plenty of time to reacquaint themselves with each other over the week, although true to his word, Matt hadn’t gone further than a blow job until his cast was removed.

“Jordie, are you heading by the pizzeria to do the restaurant accounts again?” Zack asked at his nod. “If you’ll be there until evening, I’ll drop by and maybe we can get a bite together?”

“Sure. Take care out there, Zack. I heard your back got scratched up pretty bad.”

At that, Zack glared at Matt. “Who told him?”

Matt shrugged. “Jordie deserves to know.”

Zack sighed. “I guess that’s true. You’re a capable adult, Jordie. I know that, but sometimes all I see is my kid brother.”

Embarrassed, Jordie cleared his throat. “See you later at dinner then.”

Once the door closed behind him, Jordie looked at Matt. “Will he really be all right?”

“The others have Zack’s back. Are you hungry? I got breakfast before I came here.” Matt nodded to the paper bags on the dining table, which smelled like waffles. Jordie’s stomach grumbled, but he wanted to sate a different kind of hunger. He spent nights, thrusting his dick into his hand, tried cold showers, but nothing could sate the ache building inside him.

Matt always made the first move, but it was time Jordie took initiative as well. With his cast gone, Jordie could no longer use his injury as an excuse to put off telling Zack the truth. Besides, Zack began to trust him again and see him as an adult, and Jordie wanted to prove his brother right, beginning with telling Zack he was in a relationship with Matt. Not just that, but Jordie loved Matt, too. They might have only been seeing each other for a week, but Jordie had loved Matt from afar far longer, since his high school days. That kind of love didn’t just fade or go away, but it pulsed, hotter than ever.

“I’m going to take a shower first. Would you like to join me?” Jordie asked, his voice laced with lust.

Catching his tone, Matt grinned. “Why not? I thought you’d never ask, baby.”

Heart leaping at the term of endearment, Jordie headed to the bathroom in the hallway while Matt took off his shoes. Leaving the door opened, Jordie peeled off his boxers and shirt. Staring at himself in the mirror, Jordie saw his skinny reflection and wondered what Matt saw in him.

Shaking his head, Jordie turned the shower on, needing the cold water to clear his head.
