A Service Dog’s life is dedicated to and centered around taking care of his Partner, and in order to Work, he has to develop and maintain a close connection with his Partner and keep his awareness on his Partner at all times. Separation weakens the bond and consequently the dog’s ability to Focus on his Partner.
