Chapter Ten

“You know you’re dating a slave driver, right?”

Cal chuckled as Stephanie ran past him as he came into the gymnasium. He tugged on her ponytail as she went by. “You better watch it. He’ll make you run more laps.”

“That ain’t no lie.” Stephanie turned to run backward as she talked to Cal. “So when I turn eighteen will you give me my first tattoo?”

“You bet. I’d be offended if you went anywhere else.”

Stephanie smiled brightly, showcasing her perfectly straight teeth and the fearlessness she held inside herself. Cal remembered being that young and determined. She was a good kid and treated Cal nicely and respected Drew. Cal couldn’t say enough good things about the group of girls Drew coached.

“Stephanie, get a move on it or you’ll be giving me two more laps,” Drew called out to her.

Cal looked over at Drew and lifted his hand and saluted him. Drew rolled his eyes and finished up his practice.

At the end of practice Drew gave a long speech about getting enough rest and eating healthy meals. The team had their first tournament coming up next weekend. It was an all-day event. Cal had wanted to go and support Drew and the girls but he had to work and most of his appointments were booked weeks in advance and he didn’t want to have to reschedule all those people and take more time away from him being with Drew.

Drew made him feel better when he said that Cal could just come to the next one. It was such a little thing but he liked to hear Drew make future plans for them. It was a step into sucking Drew in closer until he finally admitted they were in a relationship not just friendly neighbors.

“So are you nervous?” Cal asked as he walked alongside Drew to his car.

“A little.” Drew tossed his bag in the backseat. “We’ve done well on regular season play but tournaments are a little tougher. Teams we’ve never seen play before come in there looking to win like the rest of us. I know the girls are well prepared. I’m just antsy I guess.”

“You guys will do great.” Cal wrapped his arms around Drew’s waist and pulled him close. “How can they lose when they’ve got the best coach in the state?”

“Ah, how sweet of you.” Drew stretched up and brushed a kiss over Cal’s lips. A low moan rumbled out from Drew’s chest and Cal’s cock instantly became hard.

“Let’s get home. I’m hungry.” Cal stepped back from Drew and opened the car door for Drew to get inside.

“Me, too.” Drew got into his car. “I haven’t had anything since lunch.”

“I wasn’t talking about that kind of hungry.” Cal bent over and cupped his hand over the bulge in Drew’s gym shorts.

“Oh.” Drew’s eyes went wide and his breath hitched as he looked up at Cal.

“So hurry up and I’ll meet you at your place.” Cal stepped back and shut the door. He grinned as he walked over to his jeep and got inside.
