Jay cursed under his breath when his left foot dropped through the roof. Another rotted spot that had gone unnoticed. It seemed the whole damned thing needed to be replaced.

Pain shot through his leg, and as the blood soaked through his trousers, he was reminded of the day before, and how Will had tended to his hand. The last thing he needed was a bummed leg. Cal would be so pissed if he was put out of commission.

“Will?” he called, after he climbed down the ladder, being careful with his navigation to not fall.

“I’m inside,” called Will.

“I kind of went through the roof.” Jay limped inside the door, wincing in pain. This wasn’t good by a long shot.

Will rushed to his side. “Get those off, or I’m going to have to cut through them. I need to see it, so I can clean it.” Will pointed to a settee in the parlour. “Lay back and elevate your leg. It’ll help in case there is swelling.”

Jay swallowed hard, feeling a lump form in his throat. Without his trousers, he’d be naked. What if he became excited? How would Will react?

With some assistance from Will, he slid them down, closing his eyes, doing his best to maintain control of his body as Will’s hands connected with his flesh, skin on skin.

“It’s not that bad,” said Will. Jay groaned as he watched him cleanse the wound, wiping the excess blood away. “It’ll be fine. I’ll bandage it and you might want to favour the other leg to allow it to heal.”

“I’ll manage and do my best to get the work done here.”

“Don’t be silly,” scoffed Will. “That can wait. Healing comes first and foremost.”

“I should cover myself,” said Jay, removing his hat and placing it over his nakedness. He felt himself stirring under Will’s soft touch.
