“Okay, since I’m here I’ll take the tour. That doesn’t mean I’ll say yes.” Macy has been bugging Hope for weeks to rent a room at her house. Macy is going to turn her family home into a boarding house.

“That’s all I ask. Okay, let’s start the tour.” The house was beautiful. It’s been in Macy’s family for three generations. There were seven bedrooms with their own bathrooms and also a guest bathroom. Nice looking living room and dining room. There was of course the basement and laundry room. There was a swimming pool on the deck. Hope’s favorite part of the house was the backyard. There was a lake where you could go fishing. Also around the lake there was a trail that leads to the mountains and they were beautiful. The waterfalls were beautiful also. Hope always liked waterfalls. After the tour, Hope and Macy went back to the house. “So what do you think?”

“It’s beautiful, but I already have a place to stay,” Hope answered.

“Two and a half hours away. This house is a ten minute drive from the prison,” Macy said.

“You’re doing it again.”

“Oh, come on. I can’t run this house by myself anymore. David is away at college and Dylan is in California. Besides, your room would be the one with the view of the lake, and you know how much you like the lake,” Macy should’ve been a marketing executive instead of a teacher.

“Yes I do, but I also love Cyrus.”

“Okay I give up,” Macy said in playful defeat. “Let’s get ready for the banquet.”

“Let’s.”
