SEEING:

The strength of this image comes from the portrayal of those fractal patterns of legs to feet to toes, bodies to hands to fingers. The ever diminishing division of body parts.

This has been exaggerated by using a wide angle lens focussed on the hands and feet thrusting forward.

It is instantly humour because clearly it is a portrait of somebody but we cannot see their faces. Yet the leading lines of their arms and legs all recess back to where their faces should be.

DOING:

Simple large softbox lighting in a high key cove with a wide angle is all that is needed to achieve this image. Then it is just careful posing of hands, feet and fingers in all the right places.
