Chapter Five

Talon’s morning had been uneventful. He was still coasting in some blissful state from the incredible blow job Jace had given him before rushing off to work that morning. It had taken quite a bit of adult restraint for him not to lie back down and sleep a little while longer after eating his cold waffles.

Talon worked his jaw, trying to mask the sexual frustration which usually followed every time he thought about his naughty little romps with Jace. This morning he’d been pretty productive despite his urge for a midmorning post-coital nap.

So far today he’d already been to Marco’s Market to square away last month’s invoice for the trout he’d caught fresh for them. He’d also replenished his supplies for The Talon’s Snare since he had a family of six who’d booked a three-hour sunset river tour later that evening.

All in all, he had a fairly productive morning despite his late start. How could one really have a bad morning though when they had mind-blowing sex before they fell asleep and then had a record-breaking blow job after they woke up? He might live a simple life most of the time, but damn if he wasn’t one blessed son of a bitch.

He wanted to curse himself for falling so quick so fast. How could he though? Jace Atkins was amazing. It wasn’t just that he was sexy, although he had to admit he was damn gorgeous. There was a pull he felt with Jace. It was a feeling he hadn’t felt for anyone in a very long time. Not to mention the sex was beyond fantastic. Hell, fantastic didn’t even come close to describing it.

After months of falling for Jace, truly falling for him, he’d finally admitted it to both Jace and himself. The realization had stunned him, but he hadn’t been sorry he’d said it. From that first kiss underneath the stars behind his house, to make-out sessions on his couch and their first time of having sex, their whole courtship had been a journey of discovery for Talon. Damn it if his sexy doctor wasn’t turning the boy into a man. That sneaky son of a gun.

Just thinking about all the ways they’d touched and pleased one another over the past months made his cock twitch. There was definitely something about Jace that turned him back into an eighteen-year-old boy with no restraint.

It sucked that he’d be home late tonight because of a scheduled river tour. The irresponsible man-child inside wanted to cancel the tour and refund the family’s money, but the damn adult in him wouldn’t allow it. He hated that guy sometimes.

They hadn’t made plans to meet for dinner later on, but that was usually a given. Other than these past days when they’d not been speaking to each other they spent pretty much every moment away from work together. He’d rather not relive the time without him and keep up the tradition of hanging out. Still, even knowing that it would be a good eight hours before he saw Jace again he felt the urge to pout like a child again.
