Home grown tomatoes beat anything you can buy at the supermarket. This value does not estimate how much I grew that year in cut flowers, green beans, okra, strawberries, herbs, and leafy greens. That year I had five SFG boxes.

This year I have not tabulated the value of my harvest, but that would be a great idea! Right now I have some rosemary that is thick and full and ready to be trimmed back. Considering a small pack of fresh rosemary at the supermarket is about $3.00 I would guesstimate that I have $30 to $40 worth of rosemary alone ready to harvest.
