Ex. 02 – components

1. Open the Cap04_Ex02.skp file.

2. Select the elements of the table. Right-click on them and use the Make component command (fig. 40). Name the component and click on Create.

3. Choose Window/Components and click the In Model button. Notice that your component is saved there.

4. Place the table in the house with the Move tool.

5. Create four copies of the table, again using the Move tool (fig. 41).

6. Double-click on either of the tables, change a texture applied to it. Notice that the alterations are automatically reproduced on the other tables. Click on an empty area of the screen to exit the component edit.

7. Select two tables, right-click on one of them and choose the Make Unique option.

8. Double-click on one of these two tables and make an alteration to the component. Notice that this time the alteration was only repeated on the table that received the Make Unique command, given in step number 7 (fig. 42).
