The SmarK Legacy Rant for Monday Night RAW - August 16 1993

- Your hosts are Vince, Bobby and Macho. What is with the shitty graphics this week? They look like they were designed on a Super Nintendo or something. Anyone else watching these notice that too?

Ted Dibiase v. 1-2-3 Kid

Dibiase pounds him in the corner and Kid bails off a knee to the gut. Back in, Dibiase elbows him down and Kid bails again. Back in, Dibiase whips him into the corner, but Kid comes back with a sloppy bodypress and puts Dibiase down with a pair of dropkicks. Blind charge hits elbow and Dibiase stomps him down, but misses his own charge. Kid heads up with a flying bodypress for two, but goes up again and gets shoved off by IRS for the DQ at 4:46. The Money Inc. beatdown follows, but the Steiners make the save. You're probably thinking some sort of six-man is imminent, but this was actually Dibiase's last match on RAW before back injury forced him into retirement. Not exactly a stellar match to go out on, unfortunately. **

The Headshrinkers v. Dave Moraldo & Mike Khoury

Would it kill these jobbers to have normal names that I can remember? Samu flattens Khoury with a superkick and then rolls him over to Moraldo, and the beating continues. They flapjack Moraldo and finish with Fatu's flying splash at 3:05.

Bastion Booger v. Marty Jannetty

Do they put Marty over clean to make Borga's squash of him at Summerslam into a big deal, or just do the usual lame TV finish, I wonder? Marty uses speed to evade Booger and dropkicks him to the floor, then follows with a flying fistdrop. He works on the arm, wrapping it around the post, and we take a break. Back with Booger sending Marty into the post, and back in for a backdrop. Marty tries a sunset flip, but Booger sits on him, and Marty reverses to the pin at 5:00. So it's option A: Put him over clean before beating him. Smart move. **

Money Inc. joins us to talk about their impending cage match with the Steiner Brothers at the Summerslam Spectacular next week. You can't say Dibiase didn't put everyone over on the way out, that's for sure.

Men on a Mission v. Iron Mike Sharpe & Barry Horowitz

Did anyone actually LISTEN to Oscar rapping before making the decision to give him a live mic? Did Pat Patterson give him a tryout and felt that anyone who could speak English almost as good as he could was perfect for a manager? His "raps" were like listening to an auctioneer on a drinking binge. So anyway, MOM double-teams Sharpe and elbows him down, then Mo whips Mabel into Sharpe in the corner. Mabel splash finishes at 2:02. "That’s what I'm saying!" declares Oscar. Really? Because I had no fucking idea what it is he was saying.

Bam Bam Bigelow v. Rich Myers

Bigelow pounds away in the corner and follows with a corner splash, then stomps him down.
