No longer was she the poor, backwards girl of 20. She was an experienced, mature woman with talents she could take with her anywhere. She’d worked her way up at the agency from entry level to executive assistant. She had mad computer skills and was an efficient office manager.

This wasn’t the end of the world.

It was the beginning of a brand new future.
