Chapter Thirteen

Jenna spent the next few days packing and preparing for her move. Once the conference was over, she’d close on the house and enjoy a few days off. She was excited about spending two days in Boston with Kris during the conference. The hospital paid for everything including the hotel. She decided they would take her car, hoping that driving would help keep her mind clear.

She packed her bag making sure she had all the necessities, plus a few extra items like a bikini. She had read the hotel had an indoor pool, and she told Kris to pack a bathing suit too. She struggled over bringing some sexy lingerie, but decided against it. She wanted to keep everything platonic until after closing, but she did pack what she considered eye candy bras and panties.

After arriving at the hotel and checking in, they opened the hotel door to find themselves staring at one king bed.

Jenna dropped her bag on the sofa. “Um...I didn’t know. I thought….”

Kris dropped her bag on the sofa beside Jenna’s and crossed the room to look out the window. She turned around crossing her arms and leaned back against the wall and stared Jenna up and down like she was sizing her up.

“So, is there really a conference or did you go to all this trouble just to get me in bed?”

Jenna plopped down on the sofa and tried to hide her embarrassment. “I just assumed that…well, it doesn’t matter. It’ll be fine.”

Jenna’s first meeting was tomorrow morning, so they had a few hours left in the evening to themselves to do whatever they wanted. They decided to head out and grab a quick bite to eat. They were both simple girls. Burgers or steaks, it was all the same to them. They chose a small burger joint a few blocks down that Kris used to go to when she was in college where they could sit by the window overlooking the sidewalk and people watch.

After returning to their hotel room, Kris sat down on the edge of the sofa. “It’s still too early for bed. What should we do now?”

Jenna looked around the room. There was a TV, a sofa, and of course the bed that seemed like it occupied the entire room. Her gaze came to rest on the heated whirlpool tub in the back corner next to the bathroom. “Did you bring your bathing suit?”

“I did, but I thought the pool was already closed.” She followed Jenna’s gaze to the whirlpool. “Oh, I see. Great idea.” She walked over to the tub and turned the water on to begin filling it up.

Jenna grabbed two bath towels. “Yeah, I thought it might help us relax.” She placed the fluffy white towels on the edge of the tub. “You can change in the bathroom if you’d like, and I’ll get changed out here.”

The water continued to fill the tub, as they both changed into their bathing suits. Jenna changed into a skimpy black bikini. She wanted to make sure she changed before Kris came out of the bathroom.
