Tomatoes
Tomatoes require approximately four to five gallons of pot volume, and can be planted at a depth of eight to twelve inches.
Space the actual plants at least six inches apart, using your planting container as a guide for how many plants will fit within its confines.
Be sure to leave at least one to two inches in between the plants and the sides of the container.
Tomato plants will grow tall once they mature, and will require a sturdy instrument to insure they are upright at all times. This could be something as simple as gardening sticks, old yard sticks, or old fencing slats.
