When Malachi and Benz made it back to Memphis the first place they went was to her house. She was surprised to see that her landlords hadn’t removed any of her things. After not hearing from her or Landon she figured they would have started the eviction process, but they hadn’t.

“You know you can move in with me, Ben. I would love to have you there with me,” Malachi said opening the blinds in her living room.

“It’s cool. I have access to the account now. Landen unfroze it when he saw me with you I guess. Before he…” sighing heavily, she sat on the couch and placed her elbows on her thighs. Taking her face into her palms she shook her head. “I can’t believe he came for me like that. I can’t believe he’s… he’s…”

“He’s what?” Benz and Malachi turned around and saw Landen’s baby’s mother, Erica, standing at her front door. “He’s what, Benz?”

“Erica, why are you here? Didn’t I tell you not to come to my house again? What part of that didn’t you understand?” Benz asked standing.

Malachi grabbed her by her forearm and pulled her behind him.

“Bitch, I don’t give a fuck what you told me. My baby daddy has been missing for well over a month and it just so happens that before I stopped hearing from him he was going to see about your ass. So, what’s up? You know where Landen is?”

Benz chuckled and inhaled deeply as she stretched her neck.

“Erica, lower your voice when you talk to me, okay? I’m not trying to fight with you today. I don’t know where Landen is. Can you leave? I have some business to take care of.”

“Benz, I’m not playing with you. If you know where he is, you need to tell me.”

“Or what, Erica? What the fuck are you going to do if I don’t tell you? You got some nerve coming to my crib asking me about the nigga that cheated on me with you. I dan beat your ass once for disrespecting me, don’t think I won’t do it again. Fuck outta my house before I beat your stupid disrespectful ass!” Benz yelled.

Malachi looked at her skeptically with a smirk on his face. He hated to see women fight, but there was something about Benz’s savage attitude at random times that turned him on. First, she handled Porsha for him. Then, she risked her own life to try and find him. Now, she was a second away from doing God only knows what to Erica. He turned to face her completely before wrapping his hands around her neck and lifting her face slightly to kiss her. She moaned as her shoulders relaxed.

“Chill out, Ben. Don’t let her or anybody else bring you out of your character,” he said staring into her eyes.

She bit her lip and nodded as she wrapped her arms around his waist.

“I’m sorry, baby. She just irritates me to my soul. She’s so annoying and disrespectful.
