SINCE WHEN HAD she become so assertive sexually? Elena wondered boldly, as she unbuttoned Logan’s shirt, exposing his well-developed upper body, as if to tease her for what he brought to the table with the rest of his package. She slid the dress from her own body, exposing herself to him in only underwear and bare skin. His blue eyes darkened with the expectation of seeing her nude. Though she would normally have felt self-conscious at the very thought of being naked for someone other than her late husband, Elena felt just the opposite with Logan. When they were both completely naked and standing before one another, on full and inviting display, Logan said in a throaty voice, “You’re absolutely gorgeous.”

Elena took in his rock-hard body and handsome face with equal fascination. “So are you,” she uttered unblinkingly.

“I want you,” he declared bluntly.

She quivered at the prospect, knowing she wanted him just as badly. “You can have me.”

As though this declaration unleashed everything they were holding back, without prelude, Logan gripped Elena’s shoulders and angled his face to kiss her ardently. Opening her mouth to meet his head-on, she felt the potency all through her body as their lips joined as if belonging together in a perfect fit of delightful sounds of yearning. Grabbing one of her buttocks, Logan brought the two of them even closer together as the kiss intensified. Elena gasped as her hardened nipples brushed stimulatingly against his chest, causing waves of delight to radiate through her. She wasn’t sure how much more she could take before she exploded with joyous release. Surely he felt the powerful need as well to be inside her and make love to her.

As if reading her mind, or perhaps sensing her bodily reaction to the mouth-to-mouth intimacy, Logan broke the lip-lock and yanked aside the double-brushed microfiber duvet cover, exposing the sateen-cotton sheet. He then lifted Elena off her feet and gently put her down on the bed. Sliding beside her, Logan said smoothly, “I want to make sure you’re pleasured first before losing myself to desire in making love to you.”

Before Elena could argue, wanting them to experience the orgasm together, she found herself succumbing to Logan’s skillful hands as they caressed her breasts and nipples, making her want to scream with sensual delight. That wave of satisfaction tripled when his fingers moved down between her legs and began to fondle her there with torturous precision. The climax that followed both surprised and thrilled Elena in its intensity and the need to complete it with him inside of her. “Please, don’t hold back any longer,” she cooed urgently. “Let’s do this together—”

“With pleasure.” Logan’s face was contorted, indicating the difficulty in showing such willpower.
